Playback controls

The player panel gives you full control over playback. This article explains every control available.

Progress bar

A seek slider runs across the top of the player panel, showing your current position and the total duration.

  • Drag the slider thumb left or right to jump to any point in the arrangement.
  • The slider updates in real time as the arrangement plays.

> On web: The timeline also has left and right handles you can drag to set a loop start and stop point. See Select a playable part for details.

Play / Pause

Tap or click the large Play button in the centre of the control row to start or resume playback. Tap or click it again to pause.

> On mobile: A spinning ring appears around the button while audio is loading or buffering β€” the button is temporarily inactive during this time.

Fast forward

> Mobile only: Press and hold the Play button for half a second to temporarily fast forward at 2Γ— speed. Release to return to your normal playback speed. Fast forward only works while audio is already playing.

Previous and next arrangement

When playing from a playlist, skip back and skip forward buttons appear on either side of the play button. These jump to the previous or next arrangement in the playlist. The buttons are greyed out when there is no previous or next arrangement.

Loop

Tap or click the Loop button in the control row to toggle looping on or off. When loop is active, the button is highlighted.

  • With loop on, the arrangement repeats automatically when it reaches the end.
  • If you have set a part range (see Select a playable part), only that section repeats.
