Groups are the heart of We Are Voice. A group is a shared space for a choir, ensemble, band, or any music community where members can communicate, share playlists, and stay organised.
What is a group?
A group brings together a set of members under one shared space. Inside a group you will find:
- Feed β a shared message board where members and administrators can post updates, announcements, and interact through likes and replies.
- Playlists β shared music playlists that administrators can create and curate for all members.
- Members β a directory of everyone in the group, with role-based access control.
- About β the group profile including name, description, contact email, and location.
- Subscription (administrators only) β manage the group's subscription plan and features.
- Settings (administrators only) β advanced controls such as feed permissions and group visibility.
Roles
Every group member has one of the following roles:
| Role | Description |
|---|---|
| Administrator | Full control over the group β can manage members, approve join requests, edit group details, create playlists, configure settings, and delete the group. |
| Choirmaster | A specialised role for conductors or music leaders with elevated access to the group's music content. |
| Member | Can view the feed, playlists, and member list, and post to the feed if enabled by administrators. |
> Note: A group must always have at least one Administrator. The last Administrator cannot leave or be removed β another member must be promoted first.
