About

The About tab shows the group's profile β€” its name, location, and description. Administrators can also manage the contact email and country setting from here.

What you see on the About tab

All members can see:

  • Group name – the name of the group.
  • Location – the city, venue, or address set for the group.
  • Description – a short description of the group's purpose.

Administrators additionally see:

  • Contact email – the group's billing and notification email address, with a verified or unverified status.
  • Country – the country used to determine available subscription plans.
  • Edit group information button.

Opening the About tab

> On web: Go to your group and select the About tab.

> On mobile: Go to the Groups tab and tap About in the sub-navigation bar.

Editing group information (Administrators only)

> On mobile: > 1. Tap Edit group information on the About tab. > 2. Update the group name, description, contact email, cover image, or primary location. > 3. Tap Save changes.

> On web: Click Edit group from the group header or the About tab. Make your changes and save.

Contact email (Administrators only)

The contact email is used as the group's billing address and for important notifications. If it is not yet verified, a warning banner is shown at the top of the About tab.

To verify or change the email:

  1. In the Contact email section, tap or click Verify or change.
  2. Enter a new email address if needed and confirm.
  3. A 6-digit verification code is sent to that address.
  4. Enter the code and confirm.

Once verified the email is marked as verified. Keeping it verified ensures invoices and billing communications are delivered correctly.

Country (Administrators only)

The group's country determines which subscription plans and pricing are available. The country should be set before purchasing a group subscription.

> Important: The country can only be set once and cannot be changed by Administrators. Contact We Are Voice support if a correction is needed.

To set the country: tap or click Set country (or Change) in the Country section, search for and select your country, then save.

Leaving the group

> Mobile only: Any member can leave a group from the About tab. Scroll to the Danger zone section, tap Leave Group, and confirm.

> On web: Go to the Members tab and use the leave option there.

If you are the only Administrator, you must promote another member to Administrator before leaving.
