To join a group you need an invitation link, an invitation code, or a QR code from an Administrator. After submitting your request, an Administrator needs to approve it before you gain full access.
Join via an invitation link
- Tap or click the invitation link you received.
- If you are already signed in, you are shown the group name and basic details. Tap or click Apply to Group to submit your request.
- If you are not signed in, you are taken to the sign-in or sign-up screen first. After signing in, the app resumes the join flow automatically — you do not need to open the link again.
- Your membership enters a Pending state while an Administrator reviews your request.
> Mobile tip: Invitation links open directly in the app if it is installed. If not, you are taken to the web app instead.
Join via an invitation code
> On mobile: > 1. Open the app and go to the Groups tab. > 2. Tap Join a group — shown in the empty state or in the group switcher drawer. > 3. Enter the 4-character invitation code and tap Continue. > 4. Review the group information and tap Apply to Group.
> On web: > 1. Click My library in the top navigation, then click the Groups tab. > 2. Click Join a group or Enter invitation code. > 3. Enter the code and click Continue, then confirm your request.
Scan a QR code
- Ask the Administrator to open the Invite members screen on their device.
- Open your phone's camera and point it at the QR code.
- Tap the notification that appears to open the join link.
- Follow the steps for a regular invitation link above.
After submitting your request
Your group appears with a Pending badge. You will receive a notification once an Administrator approves your request. Until approved, your access to the feed, playlists, and member directory is limited.
